Summer Series Competition Schedule: VENUE MAP

March 1st 2024: Preliminary, Novice, elementary, Medium, Advanced and FEI Test of choice - FINAL DRAW

Please Note - Numbers taken are very dependant on what we can fit into one arena, this may change from test to test. We may not be able to take all nominated entries which are received, if we are oversubscribed entries will be taken on sydney dressage members and receipt date of entries.

An accepted entry on nominate does not guarantee you a ride until the draw has been done.

The Sydney dressage inc. committee aims to create a vibrant and active dressage community, and have put our “agile” thinking hats on to create the “Sydney Dressage Inc. Summer Series”. In june 2021 our committee surveyed the dressage community on the summer event format. It is with the feedback of this survey, and The support of Dressage NSW, that we are now implementing this new competition format. This series comprises of the following:

  1. run at Ballodair Park Equestrian Centre in the Hawkesbury

  2. run during the week over 7 weeks

  3. Each afternoon will host one test from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (SATURDAY is AM)

  4. run across both indoor and outdoor arenas (Outdoor competition arena)

  5. Tests are run in accordance with EA rules

  6. official competitive tests

  7. It is expected that all competitors read, and comply with, all venue rules as communicated on nominate and draw correspondence. these rules are subject to change as we learn to navigate this new competition format.

FAQs

  • Yes! Unless otherwise noted in the schedule, all tests are Official Competitive tests and are listed on the 2024 Dressage NSW Events Calendar

  • Each night of the Summer Series is designed to be a smooth, efficient competition evening. This means that competitors can only enter one horse per night. But across the series, each competitor can enter as many nights as they wish.

  • As this is a private venue, the premises have limited capacity for vehicles, people, and horses. This means we will be timetabling arrival and departure times for each competitor. We will also be requesting that each competitor only bring one support person. It should also be noted that there will be no catering available. Aside from these aspects, all components of standard format dressage competitions can be expected.

  • Yes! Ballodair Park offers arena hire, please reach out to the venue directly. Ballodair Park can be found on Facebook.

  • Ballodair Park: Outdoor arena will be utilised for the competition arena. Warm-up will be in the indoor arena. There is a round yard for lunging if needed, please let us know on your entries if you will require access to this.
